Med Health One’s Hospital Referral Network covers 70% of the hospitals across the United States, including some of the finest facilities in the country. Participating hospital providers agree to reduced fees in exchange for new patients and secure payment.

Members must pre-certify and obtain pre-authorization before any procedure is performed. When necessary, a case manager will coordinate providers and obtain an estimate of fees for the proposed procedure(s). Claims that have not been pre-certified will be returned to the provider marked "SELF PAY."

SAMPLE CASE #1 - A Member in California inadvertently put their hand through a window and went to the emergency room of a participating hospital. In addition to the hospital and radiology bills, International Med-Care provided savings for the Member on their follow-up needs with a plastic surgeon.

SAMPLE CASE #3 - A Member living in a small town in Arizona needed to have kidney stones removed, but had limited funds to work with. Because there was only one hospital in their area, the estimated charges were very high ($20,000 outpatient), with limited potential savings (15%). The Member indicated a willingness to have the procedure performed in a larger city. The Member's doctor provided a referral to a surgeon in Tucson who recommended a two day, in-patient procedure.
